(Official News from L.A.) After 2 months of non-stop performance and promotion for her new Album “Update”, Jane originally hoped to spend her 23rd birthday with her mother in her home town Chengdu and she also wanted to have a celebration with her loyal fans. “Unfortunately” Jane received a special assignment and she have to spend her birthday in an airplane 30,000ft above the Pacific Ocean flying to Los Angeles.

         At the beginning of 2007, Jane recorded the song “West Lake Rain” in Los Angeles with Grammy and Golden Globe winner producer Kitaro.  Mr. Kitaro was very impressed with Jane’s performance and music talent and after careful consideration he decided to have Jane record the English version of the same song 8 months later.  Mr. Kitaro chose the lyrics Jane written for this song and that shows Jane is not only a good singer but can also hold her own in writing lyrics. This English version of West Lake Rain will very likely be released in USA and Japan in the very near future.

         This marks the 5th time Jane has come to L.A. but Jane still has not acclimated to the dry weather conditions. Being still tired from the 12 hours flight and the time difference of the two continents, Jane showed up early at the recording studio. To her surprise, Mr. Kitaro’s team had prepared a birthday cake for Jane to celebrate her birthday. Jane was very touched and happy to have spended her 1st ever birthday outside her home country China.

         Mr. Kitaro also mentioned that he is working on a new project which will be released at the end of this year and invited Jane to perform with him.
